How CallAssist works: detailed information

The Call

For check-ins or reminders, the person receives a phone call.

The types of call can be to remind them to complete one-off tasks like going for a hospital appointment or for re-occurring regular tasks like taking medication or keeping hydrated.

Check-ins or reminders can be sent as often as needed - every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

The Message

When the person answers they will hear one of the following:

1. A personalised pre-set message recorded by our team, for example -  "Hello Peter, this is a reminder to take your afternoon medication".

2. A fully personalised message recorded by a familiar voice, for example -  "Hey mum, it's Poppy calling, just reminding you that your hospital appointment is at 10 o’clock today".

Different messages can be scheduled to be received at various times of the day, or week, to suit the specific needs of the individual.

3. Live calls from a professional can be scheduled where one to one contact and support can be made.

The Acknowledgement

To confirm receipt of their CallAssist message the individual will be prompted to acknowledge their call by pressing any number button on the phone they are using.

The Safety Text  |  The life Saver

Sometimes things don't always go as planned so we've put in measures to maintain the safety of our end users. Family or carers can relax in the knowledge that their loved one/s or client/s are a priority and only one safety call away.

One Off Reminders - If they do not answer the call then 1 person can receive an SMS message informing them.

Regular Reminders -  If they do not answer these re-occurring calls then the reminder/check-in system will wait 10 minutes and try again. If there is no answer the second time then up to 3 people can be alerted by text, phone call or email.
